Welcome to the portfolio of Matthew DeFranco; a Compositor/VFX Artist based out of New York City. With 14 years of Professional experience, Matthew provides a wide array of Compositing and VFX services for commercial, television, and film production. His passion is to make high quality and groundbreaking visual effects work, and to collaborate with others who have the same goal.

Creating visuals with video, photography, and CGI for over 20 years, Matthew has extensive experience and knowledge in the entire production process from start to finish. This includes everything from CGI to live action, stills and motion, and all aspects of VFX executed at the highest level.

Totaling well over 100 million views, Matthew’s work has been displayed on the biggest platforms, providing VFX on commercials for the Super Bowl and Oscars, as well as major television networks such as Netflix, NBC, Showtime, ABC, Hulu to name a few.

A LOOK BACK

INfluenced by creatives in his family, Matthew has been creating traditional artwork since an early age in all forms of mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and building to name a few. Eventually he discovered photography and started shooting video projects while simultaneously taking Graphic Design and Computer Art classes which versed him in techniques and practices with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. This also included 35mm Photography and dark room developing and printing, silk screen printing, and many other mediums. This laid the foundation for his future and opened the doors to exploring more and more mediums, which ultimately led HIM to what HE DOES today.
